Why SEO?

SEO, standing for Search Engine Optimisation, is a vitally important form of web optimisation that ultimately makes your website more visible, trusted and reputable. This is a critical form of marketing your business that in the ever growing age of technology, it is important to ensure your website is as visible as it can be.

There are some things at a client level that you can do to ensure your business, and your website, is visible online. Read below to find out more:

 

Google Services

Google provides a range of Services that are an important part of the SEO Suite today, allowing for the collection of Analytics, Monitoring, and presentation of your Business online. 

It is highly recommended that you utilise these services, of which are relatively simple to setup. If you do not have a Google Account, you will need to create one at: account.google.com

 

Google My Business 

Google My Business allows for your Business to be seen online via Google Maps, Google Searches, receive and respond to reviews as well as display vital information such as contact details, location etc. To sign up to this service, use the link below:

Click start now and follow the prompts. 

It takes between 3-6 days for a verification card to arrive, you will need to create a ticket and request the card details be sent to us when it arrives with the client. 

 

Google Webmaster Tools / Search Console

Google My Webmaster Tools allow for the user to view reports, measure your websites search traffic and performance, as well as to fix issues and optimise the performance of your site in searches. To sign up to this service, use the link below:

You will require DNS Verification when attempting to add Google Search Console to a site, the developers will be able to help you with this.

Follow the prompts.

 

Google Analytics

Google Analytics views the metrics and records the data of all users visiting your site, it allows for statistics to be recorded so that you may measure the performance of your site and to view the country location of your site viewers as well as the duration of time users spend on your site and specific pages. You will need to add a string of code to the header or footer of the website to verify a site when attempting to add Google Analytics to a site, our support team will be able to help you install this should you have any issues.

 

Social Media

It is vital to use social media to engage with potential customers/clients as well as to increase the credibility and representation of your business online. The more active a business is on social media, the more a business can appear on people's social media feeds. This therefore increases the number of times your username is seen which therefore correlates to increased profile visits, followers and website views. 

It is recommended that you use a tool like Buffer to manage your Social Media pages as you can schedule and ensure activity of all your Social Media pages from the one place, and even plan and schedule posts for the future so that you don't have to always be around your phone. 

 

Content

Writing Blog Posts and keeping clients up to date though a mailing list, is very much similar to Social Media wherein it will showcase business engagement and increase the credibility and reputation of your business provided the information you present is thoughtful and targeted to your audience. 

Blog Articles

To write a blog post, there are a few keys things that you will need to do:

  • Research and develop a single, focus keyword. 
    • To create a good Keyword, you will need to do research and decide what market are you are targeting, what is the focus word you would search on google relevant to that content? That, will be your keyword.
  • Plan your post by choosing a topic, creating an outline and conducting the relevant research needed to present concise yet informative information.
  • Write your post title by choosing a topic that is relevant to the information you plan on presenting, your keyword should be the first word in the title (Google reads this first and ranks accordingly).
  • Use images to enhance and improve your post.
  • Compile all the above information and develop your blog article.

Mailing Lists

A mailing list campaign requires the same steps above the Blog Articles, however there is more freedom in the content you share as the people viewing your Mailing List have chosen to be subscribed to your business, so you may send general updates and news, such as new products in stock, specials etc.
